   "High & Lifted Up" is an uplifting and celebratory album from the famed Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir. Renowned for their remarkable performance skills and brilliant handling of both traditional favorites and more contemporary selections, the choir has recorded what is sure to be one of the most talked-about gospel albums. Drawn from favorite selections previously performed at Sunday morning worship service, High and Lifted Up is the Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir's first studio album in more than a decade. Akin to the Brooklyn Tabernacle singers' Songs from the Altar, this is an elegantly scored collection that remains firmly focused on the choir's trademark praise and worship bent. «High & lifted up» [Grand et élevé] est un album d'élévation et festif du célèbre B.T.C. Renommés pour leurs compétences remarquablenent performantes et le maniement habile de titres à la fois traditionnels et plus contemporains, le choeur a enregistré ce qui est sûrement l'un des albums de gospel dont on parlera le plus. Construit à partir d'une sélection de favoris précédemment interprétés au cours du culte du dimanche matin, cet album est leur premier réalisé en studio en une décennie. Apparenté à «Songs from the altar» du Brooklyn Tabernacle Singers, c'est une collection élégamment composée qui reste résolument axée vers la marque de fabrique du choeur tournée vers la louange et le culte. Cependant, alors qu'il débute avec le relativement simple "Total praise" [Louange totale], "High & lifted up" contrairement aux chants est lyriquement complexe, y compris pour les termes du "Psalm 150" et de "Battle hymn of Republic". Habilement exécuté les harmonies et amplifications du son des cordes en plusieurs parties fait de "Father we adore Thee" [Père nous T'adorons] aux accents celtiques un titre de coupe, et le plus proche "God of all gods" [Dieu de tous les dieux] le couronnement des réalisations.
